Love how Watties have created a simple first taste range in a smaller pouch, meaning you can give to your baby in those first days of starting solids without wasting too much. Great for introducing new flavours.

My 8 month old tried the pear, green veggies and orange veggies. He loved the orange veggies! Ate the whole pouch in one sitting. The texture is to be expected as it's a first food, was pleased to see the ingredients listed were real foods, no numbers or additives. The green veggies were added to his usual vegetables he has for tea, over 3 nights. The pear was added to his baby cereal for breakfast. All in all, he enjoyed all 3 pouches, each were eaten warm from a bowl and spoon. Great value and size is perfect for a baby starting on solids.

We are just starting solids in our house and our 6 month old girl loved the yellow and orange veges AND the apple. We used half a pouch per meal as she didn’t need more than a few spoonfuls so the portion size was great. We just popped the unused half a bag in the fridge until her next meal, super easy. It’s great that the ingredients are so natural - just veges or fruit and water. Our wee girl really enjoyed it, and I found the products very convenient. She was happy to eat the food room temperature or slightly heated if out of the fridge.

My almost 9 months old baby boy tried the pear, green veggies and yellow veggies. I poured the contents of the pouch into a bowl and offered to bub without heating. Bub's most favorite out of the three is the pear. I initially thought that the portion was too much but bub ate everything in one sitting. The texture of the pear was smooth thus very easy for bub to eat. The next that he tried was the green veggies. I was pleased that it contained spinach and courgette as I have not been able to prepare these two for bub at home. The texture was understandably not as smooth as the pear but perfect for bub as he was already trying chunkier food. The last one that he tried was the yellow veggies. The texture was not as chunky as the green veggies. Bub is not a big fan of parsnips but loves kumara so he was happy to eat the contents of the pouch. The Wattie's First Tastes are perfect meals to offer to bub especially if in a hurry. These are also good to mix with homemade food such as meat. We will definitely have a weekly stock of these goodies for bub at home.

Pouches are always a favourite for our 8 month old who gets excited just seeing a pouch come out now because he knows he will like it. He liked the yellow and orange vegetables but didn't seem to take to the green. He was happy with them cold so ended up eating them on the side of a couple of big days by the lakeside over summer. Super convenient, less messy, and good healthy veges without all the work!

We received the pear, green veges and orange veges. My son loves pear already so this was a winner! We don't tend to give him that much of one thing in one sitting so the single flavour was probably oversized for us. He wasn't too keen on the green veges but the orange veges is similar to what we already give him so was a huge winner. Size wise they are good packets, and super handy to have when you are heading out the door and forgot to prep some food! We just fed these at room temp with a spoon - will add to our normal shop as a handy little back up for those days where you need them!

We received the Pear, Green Veggies and Yellow Veggies to try. My 9 month old enjoyed the pear. We squeezed it onto a spoon and she ate it as a side-dish over two meals. I found the texture to be nice and smooth, not gritty like pear can sometimes be. We tried it warmed as well as at room temperature, both seemed to be enjoyed. My daughter wasn't so keen on the Green Veggies which I was surprised about as I found the taste to be pleasant. Again it was nice and smooth. However, she loved the Yellow Veggies and devoured the entire pouch within minutes. We've also tried the Orange Veggies which was also a hit. We heated all the vege flavours in a bowl. I like the smaller pouch size as it can be more easily consumed in one meal, even at 9 months my daughter generally won't eat an entire regular sized pouch and sometimes it can be put in the fridge and forgotten about. I like that the flavours are simple and not over-complicated, as it makes a nice side dish to something I've cooked for the rest of the family.

My 6 and a half month old tried the Wattie's First Tastes: yellow veges, orange veges and the apple puree. The consistency was perfect...my husband reckoned that the apple puree tasted very authentic (I am not game enough to try baby food lol) my son definitely seemed to enjoy them...he wasn't overly interested in solids straight away but these pouches have been perfect for him...authentic tastes and perfect portion sizes makes for a great meal when they are just starting out with solids.

My 9mo tried the Pear, Orange Veggies and Yellow Veggies pouches... and loved all of them. These are Stage 1 pouches so were of a puree consistency and I liked that the only ''ingredients'' were those listed on the front of the packet (as well as water for the veggie pouches). Because my daughter is now on mashed/chopped foods, I just added half a pouch with extra fruit (lunch) or veges/meat (dinner) and she gobbled it all up. I definitely recommend these pouches for convenience, taste, and healthy ingredients. My only negative is that it is in a plastic pouch that isn't recyclable... and we are trying to reduce our plastic purchasing.

My almost 9 month old tried pear, yellow veggies and green veggies. Pureed texture as expected for starting solids. Convenient - great for when out and about, don’t have to reheat. Great size for those who are new to solids or need an ‘emergency’ pouch. No unnatural additives. Great to have on it’s own, with something else (green veggies with strips of steak), or mixed into something like pear or porridge. Clear packaging, although not really environmentally friendly.

My daughter had one pouch per day for dinner. She loved the vegetable ones the best. Loved the size and was so easy to just pop the cap on for later. Definitely smelled better than some other baby food that comes in pouches. Easy, convenient and had a happy baby after so that's all that matters. Thank you Wattie's for the chance to sample these items.

Our 7 month old has tried all these and loved them all. We really like that there are no additional ingredients, just fruit\veges and water. The texture was very smooth, great for 4+ months. The small 90g size is good, easy eaten in one go. Only downside for us is the packaging, we'd prefer glass so it can be recycled, all the (vege) products in glass seem to have cornflour added.

We received the green veges, yellow veges, and the apple sachets. My 8 month old loved them all! The 90gm size makes it a perfect accompaniment to other foods if you're a bit short on time (what mum isn't?!?!). We paired the apple with porridge and sprinkled cinnamon on top, that went down a treat. The green veges were her favourite, we paired that with chicken strips. The yellow blend we paired with a side of avocado and courgette slices. All round they are good value for money, especially for those introducing solids as the smaller size means less wastage. Would definitely recommend and will definitely purchase these!

We've tried all the flavours with our 6 month old and she seems to love every one! She shows a preference to the fruity ones especially during the day - but at dinner time she will eat a whole vege pouch no problems! She is a little fussy with temperature so I need to warm the vege ones - the fruity ones she will eat at room temp or fridge temp. The puree is smooth and easy for her to eat and the pouch is a great size (slightly smaller than a standard food pouch which means she can finish the whole thing). Very convenient especially when I have no time to prepare my own food for her. Will keep buying!

We've tried 3 flavours of this with our 6 month old - the smaller package size is convenient because in these early stages he's not eating a huge amount so there’s less wastage. We have a few weddings coming up so will take a pouch with us – nice and easy. The consistency was good. We found squeezing a bit onto a spoon and feeding him that way worked well with very little mess, he liked it at room temperature or out of the fridge. He really loved the yellow vege and apple, I’m sure he’d love the orange vege and pear flavours. I was pleased when I looked at the ingredients there are no unnatural additives, just fruit and vegetables. Wee downside is the packaging isn't very environmentally friendly. Overall, I liked the product, it is a convenient and healthy option for my wee one.

My 9-month-old tried the following flavours - pear, yellow veggies, and orange veggies - one pouch per day over the course of 3 days. Given it is a Stage 1 product, the texture was as expected, fully pureed and more on the runny side which is perfect for younger babies. No extras added in the ingredients, purely fruit and vegetables.I like the packaging as the coloured bands clearly tells you the flavours. My daughter enjoyed all 3 flavours though showed stronger preference to the veggies flavours. She consumed the product at room temperature and was fed using a feeding spoon. The portion size is excellent as it conveniently fits in our baby bag when we’re on-the-go plus meets the liquids rule for flying. On its own, it is enough as a snack for my baby but can also be served as part of a meal. I had given my daughter the veggies pouch as her ‘vegetable’ for lunch in addition to finger food of meat and fruit for dessert. If I let her, I’m sure she would happily consume 2 pouches in one sitting! I highly recommend the product and definitely see this as a great addition to our weekly shop!
